TB v TiB

There is something annoying about plugging in six 4 TB hard drives and having only 3.68 TiB available.

When is a terabyte (TB) not a terabyte? It has been going on for years, and everyone accepts it as the way it is, but 91% of what was promised seems like less…than. Let’s have a name for it.

Ninety-one-Percenters

The 91%-ers over-promise and under-deliver.

The 91%-ers get you almost to where they  said they would.

Imagine going to the moon with these people. 34,596 km away and they are popping the “one small step for man” speech.

Mastery is required to differentiate from the 91%-ers.

Sometimes it seems 91% of total effort is required to pull a project to 100% or better.
